As a charity, we support 11 families in the community. Connie is one of these children. We have supported Connie through her Secondary education and have been so upset to hear the news that her family home had been turned upside down in recent heavy rains. A wall to their home fell down during heavy rain on Sunday 30 June. It was in the morning whilst Connie’s Mum was at church. Their home was left flooded and Connie, her Mother and five siblings were forced to leave and stay with a relative.
We want to help and contribute towards the re-building of their home and replacing items lost or damaged. If you would like to help us with this please donate to “Connie’s Home”. Every little helps and we hope to raise approx. £350 which will put their home back together.
Here is an idea on the costs to replace essential items which have been destroyed for this family of seven:
£5 will replace their cutlery items
£7 will replace their wash basins
£10 will replace their dishes and cups
£15 will replace all of their pots and pans
£100 will replace all of their mattresses and bedding
£200 will replace the contents of the furniture such as chairs and table
Connie and her family are still very shaken and upset from these recent events and we would love to help in any way we can.
